The Opportunity: Role Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Media Supervisor to join our dynamic team. The Media team is responsible for developing comprehensive omnichannel media campaigns to meet client goals. This individual will be instrumental in contributing strategically to clients’ overall marketing plans by translating the brand’s strategic imperatives and objectives to actionable media objectives, and owning the development and tactical implementation of multichannel media recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

Core Function:

  • Contributes strategically to clients’ overall marketing plans by translating the brand’s strategic imperatives and objectives to actionable media objectives.
  • Manages a media team at various levels and overseeing tasks such as actuals, trafficking, etc.
  • Partners with internal teams and client to define client’s media strategy and leads the planning process from start to finish.
  • Manages performance across campaigns and translates campaign metrics into actionable insights, implications, and optimizations.
  • Oversees day-to-day operation of all media activity, including campaign financials, contracting, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Oversees the development, timing, and accuracy of planning deliverables, processes, templates.
  • Monitors actual revenue/hours against estimates and takes appropriate action to avoid exceeding the estimates or communicates to the client the need for adjustment.
  • Prepares and presents agency capabilities, onboarding, and presentations to client and/or internal account director.
  • Builds rapport with clients by delivering media recommendations, status updates, and POV.
  • Maintains strong relationship with publisher partners to help facilitate planning and buying process, client and internal POVs, and to stay abreast of latest updates and offerings.
  • Lead performance assessment and optimization direction across campaigns, ensuring insights are actionable and tied to client goals.

What You'll Bring: Required Qualifications

Experience:

    • 4–6+ years relevant experience.
    • Minimum of 4+ years of media planning and buying experience within the pharmaceutical industry across HCP and DTC.
    • Experience leveraging third-party research (eg, Kantar) to inform media recommendations.
    • Experience in reporting and translating data into strategic insights and recommendations
    • Experience supporting financial management processes, including invoicing, actuals tracking, and budget reconciliation

Specialized Knowledge:

  • Solid understanding of media buying and planning, including a strong knowledge of the vendor landscape for both traditional and digital and across tactics (eg, programmatic, endemic, EHR, point-of-care).
  • Understands media principles, channel strategies, targeting nuances, and partners, and continues to learn and apply strategies.
  • Competency in media math, financial management, publisher terms and conditions and performance reports.
  • Knowledge of media research tools (audience insights, competitive creative/spend).
  • Expertise with cross-channel media tools (eg, Comscore @ plan, SRDS, DoubleClick, MediaOcean, etc).

Skills:

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to multitask and manage multiple projects effectively and work well under pressure to deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and specific industry tools and technology (eg, DCM).
  • Team player able to build relationships across internal counterparts (such as digital strategy, account, PM, etc.) as well as with outside vendors.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

  • Familiarity with MediaOcean buying platform.
  • Acts as team point person for group account assignments.
  • Collaborates with account service team on finances/scoping, brainstorms, creative concepting, any client brand strategy meetings.
